Warcraft Website Spotlight#1: Azeroth United

Azeroth United

Website Name: Azeroth United

About: Azeroth United is a World of Warcraft fan site hub, filled with sites who have joined together to bring attention to common interests and internether events. Throughout the year will be planning charity events, meetups, and other internet based events.

It bans world of warcraft players in the internet community (bloggers, podcasters, webcomics, videocasts, news & utility sites) together to raise money for their Hearts, Hands, and Voices for Child’s Play.  As a World Of Warcraft community, they are trying to raise $5,000.00 for Child’s Play.

So, what is Child’s Play?  Since 2003, Child’s Play, a game industry charity dedicated to improving the lives of children with toys and games in our network of over 60 hospitals worldwide has helped raised billions of dollars to give children in medical facilities all over the World the ability to play video games to comfort them in their time of need.  Many of these children are in the hospital permanently because of the condition that has brought them there, and what better way to cheer a sick child up than the video games we all love and cherish?

I just wanted to give a big Kudos to the Azeroth United community.  I personally work for one of the 60 hospitals worldwide here in Orlando, FL; Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, and to know that we as gamers can help children out in need, is really something special.
